I'm a big nerdy fan of the History of English podcast and the History of England podcast. The former is full of fun facts about the English language useful for teaching, research, and cocktail parties. The latter, while hardly revolutionary in approach, is quite entertaining to listen to nonetheless. I do have to fast-forward through the battles, but the podcaster David Crowther is a witty raconteur.
